Well that is true. And probably so lol. I did notice my brand new timing belt had been rubbing somewhere on the outside edge though. I thought I had straightened out the cover enough to stop that but apparently not. Could it possibly be rubbing enough to slow the timing causing it to die shortly after start, and also causing the burning smell?? Or on second thought, could the alternator have gone out somehow considering the water pump belt also goes to it. Fuses are good, all wires and connectors are unharmed.. shit I just don't know.
